After the widespread box office success of the first Five Nights at Freddy's film, the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 movie is officially in development, Universal and Blumhouse announced at CinemaCon. It's set to release in fall 2025.
With the announcement that the film is in the works, the production's creators are already taking to social media to tease some exciting new sneak peeks. Jason Blum, one of the creators of Blumhouse, posted a picture on X of one of the upcoming animatronics that will be in the movie.
The animatronic appears to be in its very early stages, with no discernable features quite yet - but fans are already speculating that it could be Mangle based on the look of the wires.
There's no information quite yet about exactly when the film will release, what the plot will be about, or which cast members might return to be in the movie. However, it seems highly likely that we'll see several cast members return, given that Matthew Lillard already confirmed he's signed a three-movie deal.
