Big Five Nights at Freddy's news is coming later this year for the series' 10th anniversary, franchise creator Scott Cawthon announced on X/Twitter. There will be "something big" announced every day from 1st August through 8th August - and the schedule for that week is coming tomorrow.
The franchise's official anniversary falls on 8th August, the final day of the upcoming week of announcements. "There has been a lot of work happening behind the scenes to make it a very special event," Cawthon teased in his 18 June post.
The announcements could come in the form of new merchandise, DLCs for existing Five Nights at Freddy's games, and even new titles in the franchise. Fans are already speculating about what's to come, with some believing that the new content could include a Help Wanted 2 DLC or the FNAF game previously teased by developers Clickteam.
It would definitely make sense for a Help Wanted 2 DLC to be on the list of updates, given that the game just recently announced that a flat mode is coming later this week, allowing PC players to dive in to the previously VR-exclusive title.
But that's not all that's in store. An upcoming Five Nights at Freddy's game, FNAF: Into the Pit, has already been officially announced after it leaked back in January, and will likely be released sometime this year to celebrate the anniversary.
