As Final Fantasy enthusiasts gear up for the upcoming release of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the second installment in the trilogy covering the remake of Final Fantasy 7, numerous questions are boiling up, particularly concerning the game's availability on different platforms. And one of the most predominant questions on many fans' minds is whether the game will be accessible on PC.
Fortunately, we can provide some insights and offer a comprehensive overview of how you can engage with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth once it hits the market. Without further delay, let's delve into the details and discuss precisely when Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be available on PC.
When Will Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Release For PC?
When it comes to the release date for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PC, we have good news and bad news. The bad news is that the game won't be on PC at launch on the 29th of February 2024, but the good news is that it will be coming to PC at some point in the future. Based on the recent official trailer for the game (embedded below), if we skip right to the end, it states that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will not be available on other formats until at least the 29th of May 2024.
This means that PC players will have quite a wait ahead of them if they want to try this game out on their machines. However, it's at least an official statement, and we don't have to speculate for months on a possible release date. Now while this date might be established, it doesn't mean we'll get it in May of this year. It's likely just an estimate, and if we're being generous, we'll likely only get it towards the tail end of 2024, or even early 2025.
This is also backed up by the wait times we got when Final Fantasy 15 arrived on PC nearly two years after its console version, as well as the more recent Final Fantasy 16, which is still exclusive to PlayStation, and we're awaiting news on its PC release. All this to say, we were essentially given an "earliest" date for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth coming to PC, but we expect some delays along the way, and it's more likely that we'll get a later release.
Of course, all this information is still speculative and subject to change depending on what the developers at Square Enix, as well as Sony, decide to do. So for now, take these dates with a grain of salt until we see some official news on the PC port's release or announcements from the developers. Of course, we'll keep you in the loop here as well, so be sure to bookmark this page and check back frequently for more.
