The MLS historically has been a league full of players past their best and looking for a final pay day before retirement. But in recent years, Major League Soccer has made a change for the better, with an improvement of player quality leading to less reliance on famous names.
This all means that the MLS TOTS could be a great chance for FIFA players to improve their squads with some pretty unique players. Keep reading for all the information you need to know.

When Is It Released?
The MLS TOTS is being released Sunday 21st of May at 18:00 BST and will be available in FUT Champions rewards the following weekend. This is the fourth of seven different minor league Team of the Seasons.
Who's Included?
The MLS is unique in terms of which players are eligible for a TOTS card. As their seasons run from February to November (unlike traditional European leagues), the cards we have predicted is based off of performances in the 2022 season.
While we've predicted 11 players in the squad, it's likely only 9 will be released in to packs with others coming in the form of SBCs (Squad Building Challenges) and as Objective cards.
Who Have We Predicted?
Defence
GK Andre Blake
Philadelphia Union finished the 2022 season with the best defensive record in the league and as such expect to see lots of Union defenders in the TOTS. That starts with Jamaican international Blake, who played a huge part in Philly’s runners up spot in the playoffs.
RB Brandon Bye
Picking a right back might be the toughest spot in the team, so we’ve gone with an outside choice with the New England Revolution defender. Despite a poor season for the team, Bye ended up with 7 assists and 2 goals which could be enough to get a TOTS card.
CB Jack Elliot
Like we said, expect lots of Union defenders. The English centre half has spent 6 years with Philadelphia Union, with the 2022 season being one of his best individually. At 6’6, Elliot’s arial dominance sets him apart from others.
LB Kai Wagner
Surprise! It’s another Union defender. This was Wagner’s 4th season in the MLS and was easily his most productive in terms of goal contributions, with 9 assists to his name. This would be his second TOTS card after receiving his first in FIFA 21.
Midfield
RM Luiz Araújo
Another Atlanta United midfielder, the tricky Brazilian winger signed in 2021 from Lille and has made himself at home in the MLS. Fingers crossed EA decide to boost him to 5 star skills to give this card true value.
CAM Luciano Acosta
Speaking of five star skills, let’s talk about Luciano Acosta. 11 goals and 13 assists for FC Cincinnati means he’s almost a lock for this TOTS and yes, he’s guaranteed to have five star skills after having it on his base card.
CAM Thiago Almada
The league’s record signing, Almada came with high expectations and ultimately matched them with a successful first season in the league. 9 goals and 5 assists for Atlanta United was a promising start, with his performances even earning him an Argentina call up.
CAM Sebastián Driussi
Another Argentinian attacking midfielder, the Austin FC superstar scored 25 goals in what was Austin’s second ever season as a club. Driussi also went on an 11 game run of providing either a goal or an assist, proving his performances were consistent as well as majorly impressive.
Attackers
ST Brandon Vázquez
Vázquez had himself a breakout season in 2022 with 18 goals and 8 assists for FC Cincinnati. Whilst he missed out on the US World Cup Squad, he did go on to make his senior debut in a friendly earlier this year.
CF Hany Mukhtar
Sometimes stats on their own are enough to tell you just how special a team someone has had. Mukhtar’s 23 goals and 7 assists in 33 games is one of those times.
RW Carlos Vela
It wouldn’t be an MLS TOTS without Carlos Vela. The once Arsenal and Sociedad player is now one of the most recognised MLS players in history, with his fourth season concluding with winning the MLS Supporters Shield.
Full Team
We're not sure we're gonna get a full 11/11 predictions this week, mostly because having 3 CAMs in one team is almost certainly not going to happen, but we couldn't bring ourselves to leave any of them out.
