With the new Enshrouded Hollow Halls update, players get to delve deep into these bone infested dungeons and will quickly stumble upon the new ectoplasm fragment resource. While you can get lots of bones, some of the piles around the Hollow Halls will also net you ectoplasm fragments. If you're in need of a few more for your next building project, we'll explain the best way to get ectoplasm fragments in Enshrouded.
How to Farm Ectoplasm Fragments in Enshrouded
You'll likely first discover the new ectoplasm fragment material while plowing through enemies in the Enshrouded Hollow Halls update. These deep dungeons have a variety of hollow enemies, and anything strong enough to drop a proper lootable pile of bones will likely net you some ectoplasm fragments.
The weakest skeleton enemies will just drop a bit of bones to collect, but anyone with remains you can loot may have ectoplasm fragments. You'll collect several of these by simply continuing through the Hollow Halls or returning after enemies have respawned to wipe them out again, but it's not the most efficient method.
Instead, keep an eye out for bone piles like seen above that have glowing green spots in them. These can be mined with your pickaxe, and you'll harvest tons of bones as well as ectoplasm fragments.
Like any resource it takes time, but you'll get it faster and more easily with these nodes than as a looted resource. New details are still being discovered, but you'll need ectoplasm fragments for the following crafting recipes:
- Bone Channel I
- Bone Channel II
- Ectoplasm Press
- Ectoplasm
- Ectoplasm Gem
- Nomad Highlands Bone Key
- Revelwood Bone Key
The Ectoplasm Press is connected to The Collector, a new NPC discovered deep in the Hollow Halls as your journey continues. Once you've rescued him, new quests will also be available.
