In honor of DBD Day in Japan, some of the game's developers - including Mathieu Cote - joined Blood Party Friday to discuss the future of the game, providing numerous major updates about future content. Dead by Daylight's team hinted at potentially adding a Trickster map and ocean map, and could potentially even offer players Bloodpoints for custom games. They also noted that more licensed Japanese content is on its way.
“Keep paying attention because we have some really, really cool stuff that [Dead by Daylight] will be announcing soon that I think Japanese fans will be ESPECIALLY excited about," Mathieu Cote said during the show.
While the Trickster map hasn't started development and is more of a "wishlist" item, according to DBD leaker dvveet, it's something that many fans have been requesting for quite a while. Given that the Trickster is a performer, his map could potentially feature a stage, or even a street with neon lights.
When Trickster was released with the All-Kill chapter back in March 2021, he wasn't accompanied by a map, though he was joined by survivor Yun-Jin Lee.
Following these announcements, Dead by Daylight will have also Free To Play weekend lasting from 21 November 'til 25th November. These updates aren't the only news surrounding The Trickster himself, either - just recently, developers posted some proposed updates to his kit on Reddit, asking for fan feedback on this possible Trickster overhaul. The updates would revert many changes made to the character, as well as change up some add-ons.
