Dead by Daylight fans have been asking for an Outlast x Dead by Daylight collaboration for a while now - and it seems like they're not alone. Outlast developers Red Barrels have reached out to Dead by Daylight in hopes of a collab, co-founder Philippe Morin confirmed in an AMA.
"We would love to collaborate with Behaviour on DxD, it seems like a natural partnership - like peanut butter and jelly," he wrote. "We've reached out a few times… the ball is in their court."
A Dead by Daylight x Outlast chapter could definitely add a lot to the game, and it seems like it could be pretty likely, too. After all, Dead by Daylight has only been adding more and more licensed chapters since the first licensed Halloween chapter featuring Michael Myers years ago. Just this year, fans have been able to experience playing as icons ranging from Tomb Raider's Lara Croft to Castlevania's Dracula. And there's more to come in the future, too - DBD has already promised fans a Five Nights at Freddy's collab next year.
There's nothing confirmed quite yet, but Red Barrels expressing their interest in an Outlast Dead by Daylight chapter is definitely promising news for those fans who have been hoping for one. For now, fans can get excited for Dead by Daylight's upcoming Haunted by Daylight event, which will feature all-new rewards and an upgraded in-game experience featuring Portals and Void Energy.
