Dead by Daylight's 2v8 mode is here, and it's popular among killers - so popular, in fact, that many players have reported killer queue wait times lasting longer than 30 minutes.
This overflow of killers is likely both because, yes, lots of killers are playing - but also because players can only choose from just a few killers and can't be partnered up with the same one. Adding some new killers to 2v8 would not only made the game mode even more fun, but would help out with the lengthy queue times.
Here are a few killers that would be perfect for Dead by Daylight's 2v8 mode.
1. The Plague
The Plague is great at keeping survivors injured, but can struggle to down them without the help of her Corrupt Purge. She'd still excel in 2v8 with a modified version of her power - she could still Infect survivors, but couldn't use her Purge. This would allow her to be a powerful force in the match and set her fellow killer up to earn the down, but would prevent her from being extremely overpowered.
2. The Legion
SinceThe Legion is practically made for injuring survivors and finding groups of them, teaming up with another killer in 2v8 would be perfect for this killer without making them too powerful. The Legion doesn't excel at downing survivors, but could easily keep them injured for their fellow killer to take them down.
3. The Oni
The Oni is one of the most powerful killers in the game, and would likely also be one of the strongest teammates for fellow killers in 2v8. By sucking up survivors' Blood Orbs, The Oni can gain his greatest power and Demon Rush survivors, taking them down in one hit. Regardless of what teammate he's matched up with, the Oni would be a formidable foe in 2v8.
4. The Doctor
The Doctor excels at tracking survivors down with his shock ability, causing them to scream and fall deeper into Madness. The further survivors fall into madness, the more distractions will be thrown their way - like fake silhouettes of the Doctor, a fake Terror Radius, and more - and players with maximum Madness aren't able to interact with objectives at all.
The Doctor's ability to not only effectively locate survivors, but also throw them off, could shine in 2v8, allowing your teammates to head toward the screams and take down unsuspecting survivors.
5. The Clown
The Clown's power not only lets him slow survivors down, but speed himself up, as well. He could share this power with teammates, throwing his Yellow Antidote bottle to cause fellow killers to move more quickly and more effectively take down survivors.
Those are the killers we'd most like to see in Dead by Daylight's 2v8 mode given the way their powers synergize with other characters. There are tons of options for original killers for Dead by Daylight to add to 2v8 - and, if licensing allows, maybe licensed characters, too. However, it's likely it'll be some time before we see new characters added to the 2v8 mode if it becomes permanent, since balancing each killers' power can take some time.
