Dead by Daylight's April Fools mode is called My Little Oni, and it's only available for a limited time from 1 April to 3rd April 2024. In this special game modifier, The Oni towers over the survivors, who are even tinier than usual themselves. Here's how to play My Little Oni as both killer and survivor.
How To Play My Little Oni In Dead By Daylight
In the main menu, you'll want to select the "My Little Oni" Game Modifier and select either killer or survivor. No matter which side you choose, things will be drastically different in this game mode compared to normal gameplay, such as not being able to change your loadout.
My Little Oni: Killer
As the killer in My Little Oni, you'll have to play The Oni. You can mostly play the killer as normal - you'll even be able to pick up Blood Orbs and activate your power - but it's impossible to ignore the fact that you're towering over the survivors, almost able to see the map from a top-down perspective. While your height can help you find opponents in their hiding spots, the survivors' own tiny heights can make it quite difficult to spot them.
Once you down a survivor for the first time, you can kill them instantly using the 'Kill' button, just as you'd do if you were Mori-ing them normally. The Mori in this mode is an especially quick kill, so you don't need to worry about wasting time taking down survivors after you've already downed them.
Just like in typical matches, it's a good idea to patrol generators and keep an eye out for scratch marks to find survivors.
My Little Oni: Survivor
As a survivor in My Little Oni, your goal is to complete three generators (instead of the usual five) and make your way out of the Exit Gates. You can throw pallets, but you can't vault them (nor can you vault windows!). You also won't be able to open Chests or interact with other objectives you normally would.
Since you can't vault windows or pallets, it's important to try to stay hidden and put a pallet between you and the killer if you do end up in chase.
Once all three generators are completed, you won't need to open the Exit Gates yourself; instead, both gates will open right up for you, allowing you to run out (unless the Oni manages to down you before you get there!).
