After the success of the first Resident Evil chapter, Dead by Daylight developers Behaviour Interactive announced during the game's 6th anniversary stream that they were working on another Resident Evil development, titled "Project W."
The announcement came just a week after known dataminer Leaks by Daylight announced that information about a Resident Evil chapter had been leaked, including the possible identities of the survivor and killer.
Here's everything fans know so far about Project W, including leaked information about the killer's proposed power.
Resident Evil "Project W" - Killer and survivors leaked
After Dead by Daylight's "Project W" partnership with Resident Evil was announced, fans were quick to assume that the "W" stood for Wesker, as in Albert Wesker, one of Resident Evil's most prominent antagonists.
Many assumed that he would be the killer featured in the second Resident Evil chapter in Dead by Daylight.
"I honestly can't wait for Albert Wesker," said one Redditor on the Dead by Daylight subreddit. They received almost 300 upvotes.

According to known dataminer Leaks by Daylight, who has leaked accurate information in the recent past (including the 6th anniversary chapter), Albert Wesker will in fact be the killer for this chapter.
Wesker would come to Dead by Daylight's Fog along with two survivors, like the previous Resident Evil killer, The Nemesis, who came with Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine.
The "Project W" chapter will likely include the characters Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers as survivors, according to the leak.
Albert Wesker killer power leak
Along with the information about the killer and survivor that will likely be featured in the second Resident Evil chapter, a new leak also included information about Wesker's potential power.
Though details of his power are unclear, dataminers found an item for survivors called "Infection Remover" surrounding Wesker's power in the game files. The function of this item is currently unknown.
That's all we currently know about Dead by Daylight's "Project W." Because all of the information we have comes from unofficial leaks, this information is subject to change at any time.
