The Dead by Daylight Project W chapter brought six new achievements to the game, and the hardest of them might just be Outbreak Breakout.
In this article, we'll go over exactly what Outbreak Breakout requires. We'll also discuss how you can earn Outbreak Breakout as quickly as possible in order to check this achievement off in Dead by Daylight and inch a little closer to earning 100% completion for the game.
How To Get Outbreak Breakout Achievement
The Outbreak Breakout achievement requires you to open the exit gates and escape from the Raccoon City Police Department map 20 times in public matches.

To earn points toward the achievement, you have to be the one to open the exit gate yourself. Another survivor cannot be the one to open the exit gates, or you will not earn progress toward the achivement. You also cannot escape through the hatch to earn progress toward the achievement.
These are some pretty specific requirements for earning the trophy, making it one of the harder achievements - but there are some ways to speed up your progress.
You can play the RPD Badge offering to significantly increase your chances of going to Racoon City Police Station and thus potentially earning progress toward the achievement. If you're playing with friends, you can stack offerings to increase your chances even further and counter any map offerings the killer might play.
No matter whether you end up on the newly separated Racoon City Police Station East Wing or West Wing, you'll still earn progress toward the achievement if you open the exit gates and escape the trial.
Since you have to be the one to open the exit gate, it may be a good idea to bring perks that allow you to open the gates more quickly. Consider bringing Quentin Smith's Wake Up!, or bring along a map that reveals the exit gates.
It's in your best interest to play as well as you can throughout the match and keep your teammates alive, increasing your chances of completing all five generators and earning the opportunity to open the exit gates.
