The Casting of Frank Stone September Release Date Leaked

The Casting of Frank Stone's release date may have leaked, and it looks like the game is set to come out on 3 September 2024. The information comes from DbdNews, who noted that it was found in the PTB game files. (Dead by Daylight's newest PTB went live yesterday, 25 June, and features new survivor Lara Croft from Tomb Raider; it'll be live for one week.)

The PTB files also included a titbit about the upcoming single-player game: "Step out of The Fog and experience a never-before-seen side of Dead by Daylight with The Casting of Frank Stone, available September 3rd," they read. "Decide the fate of four friends in the summer of 1980, and guide their shoot of Murder Mill, a soon-to-be cult classic with an insidious influence."

Fans will be able to pre-order the game before its release, the PTB files suggest. It'll be available on PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X and Series S.

Supermassive Games promised fans a 2024 release when the game was announced - and the leaked release date is several months ahead of when many fans believed the game would be released, with many speculating it wouldn't be out until the end of Q4 2024. Back in May, developers released a cinematic gameplay trailer for The Casting of Frank Stone, unveiling many of the characters planned to be in the game along with some hints at the story.
