Dead by Daylight's Bone Chill holiday event is here, bringing a new map, gameplay elements, an all-new tome, and more. However, many fans aren't happy with the fact that the Bone Chill event offering, Mistle Toes, is individual only - meaning that players won't all reap the Bloodpoint bonuses from playing one. A Redditor called attention to the issue, saying it's "disappointing, but not unexpected."
Others pointed out that, on top of the Bloodpoint bonuses not affecting everyone on the team, they don't even affect all Bloodpoints earned during the event. "It's a 100% BP bonus on the event points, just like the Halloween," one Redditor wrote. "Why can't they at the very least just give a blanket 100% bonus. Is the extra 20-30k Bloodpoints going to ruin the game?"
"Still no reason to bring Mistle Toes over Anniversary Cake," another user pointed out.
The Mistle Toes offering can only be used during the Bone Chill event, while the Anniversary Cakes can be used any time of year and grant all players over 100% bonus Bloodpoints. That's not to mention that Anniversary Cakes stack, meaning that if all players throw one in, all players can earn over 500% Bloodpoints. Mistle Toes don't offer the same benefits, making them a much less appealing option.
Its official in-game description of the Mistle Toes offering reads as follows:
If you see these things hanging over you, the last thing you'll want is a kiss.
Calls upon The Entity for the following effects:
- Start the Trial with 6 Snowskulls.
- Doubles all Bloodpoints awarded for triggering Score Events related to the Event.
- Increases the number of Chests in the environment by +1.
The bonus Bloodpoints are applied during the Trial.
Dead by Daylight's Bone Chill event lasts from 12 December 2024 until 8 January 2025. It's possible that Dead by Daylight could choose to change the offering before the event ends, but there are also tons of other ways to earn Bloodpoints in the time being, such as logging in every day for Blood Chill's daily login rewards.
