Gabriel Soma is Dead by Daylight's newest survivor, having joined the game alongside The Singularity in Chapter 28: End Transmission and players can earn the Adept Gabriel achievement by escaping a match using only his three personal perks. This follows the game's tradition of offering an Adept achievement for every killer and survivor. If you want to 100% your game, you'll need to earn all of the achievements, including the ones for this newest chapter.
If you want to check Adept Gabriel off of your list of Dead by Daylight achievements, you're in luck. In this guide, we'll walk you through how to get the Adept Gabriel Soma achievement so you can add it to your collection.
How To Get Adept Gabriel Soma Achievement
The Adept Gabriel achievement reads as follows:
- Adept Gabriel: Escape with Gabriel Soma using only his 3 unique perks in a public match.
To get this achievement, you'll need to equip Gabriel Soma's three personal perks, which are Troubleshooter, Scavenger, and Made For This. You'll then need to escape a match. It doesn't matter whether you escape through the hatch or the exit gate, as long as you get out.
Here's a look at Gabriel's perks:
- Troubleshooter: When you are chased by the Killer, this perk activates. You see the aura of the Generator with the most progress. You see the aura of the Killer for 4/5/6 seconds after dropping a Pallet. The effect lasts for 6/8/10 seconds after being in chase, then deactivates.
- Made for This: This perk activates while you are in the injured state. You run 1/2/3% faster. After you finish healing another Survivor, gain the endurance status effect for 6/8/10 seconds. Made for This cannot be used when suffering from Exhaustion but does not cause the Exhausted Status Effect.
- Scavenger: While you are holding an empty toolbox, this perk activates. Succeeding a great skill check while repairing gives the perk 1 token, up to 6/5/4. When you reach maximum tokens, lose all tokens automatically recharge the toolbox to full. Scavenger is disabled for the remainder of the Trial after recharging a toolbox. This perk grants the ability to rummage through an opened chest once per Trial and will guarantee a basic Toolbox.
Scavenger holds a pretty hefty penalty, as streamer and Fog Whisperer Otzdarva mentioned in a recent criticism of Dead by Daylight's perks and add-ons. While you have to equip it to get the achievement, using it might actually hold you back when getting an Adept is already quite the challenge, so you might want to hold off from bringing a toolbox and inevitably taking on that repair penalty.
Made For This activates automatically after you get Injured, giving you Haste and some Endurance after healing other survivors. It activates its most impactful effect only in niche situations (Endurance), but it can definitely provide you with a few much-needed passive boosts.
Lastly, Troubleshooter simply helps you detect key items like nearby generators and the aura of the killer at certain times; again, having it makes getting the Adept easier, but most of its value is passive. To work toward earning the achievement and escaping the match with these perks, you'll want to keep your focus on completing generators as quickly as possible.
Once you've earned the achievement, you should receive a notification letting you know that you've completed Adept Gabriel. Good luck out there with this challenge!
