Dead by Daylight's upcoming Halloween event will offer new features like "projectiles and bombs," DBD leaker LeaksbyDaylight suggested in an X/Twitter post. This means that survivors and killers could potentially toss throwables at one another, possibly with their own unique effects.
LeaksbyDaylight also suggested that the new projectiles will be tied to the Halloween event tome challenges, meaning players will need to utilize them in order to get all rewards and complete the tome.
Aside from these new features, the leaker noted, this year's Halloween event will likely be a lot like the previous year's event. The Haunted by Daylight 2023 event featured Esoteric Generators, Void Energy, and the all-new Void Zones. Players could also kick Pumpkins for Void Energy and Bloodpoint rewards.
Last year's festivities took place from 18 October til 6 November - with login rewards kicking off the week prior - suggesting that this year's event could likely fall around those dates. Dead by Daylight's Halloween event is one of its most major celebrations of the year, and usually lasts for 2-3 weeks.
For now, though, Dead by Daylight hasn't confirmed the dates of its Halloween event, nor mentioned any features that might be added to the game this year. While LeaksbyDaylight has accurately predicted Dead by Daylight content updates in the past, it's important to take all leaks with a grain of salt until they're fully confirmed. It's likely we'll hear more information from Behaviour Interactive as the event nears.
