Where To Find Emeralds In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley offers a myriad of Gems that players need to progress certain quests or use as gifts to increase Friendship Levels with NPCs or for various other reasons. One such gem is Emerald, which players will need to complete one of Merlin's quests.

But since there is little to no information regarding Emerald's location or drop rate, many players find it challenging to source it. This guide will detail everything about Emerald in Disney Dreamlight Valley, including where to find it, how much it sells for, and more.

Where To Find Emeralds In Disney Dreamlight Valley

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can get Emeralds by mining the Black Rock formations found in the Glade of Trust and Forest of Valor biomes of Dream Valley.

At the beginning of the game, you get access to the Plaza and Peaceful Meadows area. You can access Glade of Trust from Peaceful Meadows. At the same time, you will find Forest of Valor's entrance in the Plaza area.

If you don't know how to unlock Glade of Trust or Forest of Valor biomes, don't stress. We will explain how to do it in the next section.

How To Unlock Glade Of Trust And Forest Of Valor Biome

To unlock any of the two biomes, you must first progress Merlin's questline till you get the quest "Friendship is Everything."

The last objective of the quest is to unlock a new biome. If you haven't completed the said quest, you can accomplish it now and unlock Glade of Trust or Forest of Valor in doing so.  

If you try to unlock the biomes before completing the "Friendship is Everything" quest, Merlin will stop you by saying the Night Thorns are shrouded by darkness. The result—you won't be able to unlock the biomes even if you have enough Dreamlight to unlock them. 

To unlock Forest of Valor, you will need 3,000 Dreamlight; meanwhile, for Glade of Trust, you need 5000 Dreamlight. Forest of Valor is cheaper because it can be accessed easily compared to the Glade of Trust biome.

Still, we recommend you to farm for Emerald in Glade of Trust. Based on personal experience, while farming minerals in the Forest of Valor, we mostly found Iron Ingots.

In contrast, the Glade of Trust biome had more Emerald drops. So choose your farming route wisely. But remember, in the end, the Emerald drop in Disney Dreamlight Valley depends on RNG. 

Once you've obtained Emerald in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can sell it for 325 Star Coins, whereas its "more rare" variant, Shiny Emerald, sells for 1,300 Star Coins. Once you have these precious stones, you can go to Goofy's Stall in any biome and sell them to get some instant Star Coins.
