The biggest news about this Disney Dreamlight Valley update is that beloved Lion King duo Timon and Pumbaa will finally enter the game as full characters. Players will travel back to The Lion King Realm to meet the pair and learn all about rest and relaxation. That means plenty of new quests are on the way. The update will go live on all platforms on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

We've also now learned about the The Night Show Star Path set to begin alongside this update with tons of new items on the way, and among those are Loungefly Disney Mini Backpacks. The official partnership will see many one-to-one recreations arrive in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and two will be in this upcoming Star Path.

When this Disney Dreamlight Valley update deploys, it will also include several important quality of life improvements in the game. Scrooge McDuck's Store will get an updated layout where any empty clothing display areas will now be replaced by furniture items as well as a stock update featuring new items.

Players will also now be able to take advantage of a controls setting to choose between using the new Edit Mode controls or a classic set of controls similar to the past style. If you're working on crafting recipes, players will now be able to track a recipe so it appears on-screen just like quest objectives normally would.
