The recent Disney Dreamlight Valley Scar update has brought tons of new content to enjoy. From the "Nature and Nurture" main quest that sees us crafting Extra Fizzy Root Beer to the new Villain on the block, Scar.
If you haven't unlocked Scar yet and want to get your hands on this smooth-talking feline, then you're in luck, as this guide will walk you through exactly how to unlock Scar in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to unlock Scar in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To unlock Scar, you need to unlock the Sunlit Plateau (more on that later), which costs 7000 Dreamlight and is located just West of the main Plaza. Before doing this, you'll need to have unlocked the Orb and Pillar of Friendship, which allows you to access the Sunlit Plateau (among the other biomes in the game).
To unlock the Orb and Pillar of Friendship, you must complete the "Friendship is Everything quest" from Merlin, who asks you to reach Friendship Level 5 with three Villagers. After unlocking the Sunlit Plateau, Proceed up the pathway, turn right into the elephant's cemetery, and enter the house inside the skull. Scar will be roaming around inside, where you can speak to him.
Doing so will enable you to exchange gifts with him and engage in ongoing conversations, similar to the other game characters. You can also tell a tongue-in-cheek "circle of life" joke to make it clear that you're on team Mufasa.
After this, you'll need to unlock Scars' main Questline. To do so, you'll need to unlock the next three Orbs and Pillars of Trust, Power, and Courage.
You must complete the Curse in the Glade of Trust quest line to obtain the Pillar and Orb of Trust. The Pillar and Orb of Power can be obtained after finishing the "With Great Power" quest in Dazzle Beach. And finally, you need to finish the Lost in the Dark Grove quest in the Forest of Valor to unlock the Pillar and Orb of Courage.
Once Scar's Story Arc is unlocked, you can begin the main quest of the Scar update, the Nature and Nurture quest. You can also explore the Vitalis Mines, a new region of the Sunlit Plateau with some new resources and minerals for you to mine.
Since there is a lot of pickaxe action in this mission, we suggest making Scar a mining companion to increase Scar's friendship levels more quickly. From there, you'll be ready to take on all of Scars' side quests, chat with him about the Valley, and of course, have a new companion in the valley on your side.
