As you dive into Disney Dreamlight Valley, it can be overwhelming deciding which characters to focus on bringing into your valley first. However, if you can unlock Maui you'll also be on the path to a couple of crucial tool upgrades.
While some other areas may draw your attention early, snagging Moana and the demigod Maui in Disney Dreamlight Valley are extremely helpful additions. To do so, you'll have to cook some meals worthy of his divine status in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Unlock Maui in Disney Dreamlight Valley
If you're hoping to add Maui to your village in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you'll first have to unlock the Moana realm and finish her first few quests. The Moana realm requires 3,000 Dreamlight to be unlocked, but there are some extremely beneficial bonuses that are worth investing in early on.
Once you've finished the first few quests for Moana including After The Storm, The Great Maui, and How Far You'll Go, you can add Moana to your village. Her absence from the Moana realm will make Maui lonely, and you can now attempt to convince him to join you.
As part of the early Moana quests to work your way to unlocking Maui, you'll also get your first pickaxe upgrade from him to destroy small blue beach rocks. This will allow you to clear recurring debris and keep a regular supply of sand while upgrading a mining companion.
How to Complete A Feast Worthy of a Demigod
The good news is that the most challenging parts of getting Maui will be mostly finished throughout the process of getting Moana. Once you've wrapped those quests up, his final task is pretty simple.
You'll speak to Maui and entice him to join your village because of the heavenly food, and he'll ask for meals to prove that. You can cook any 3-Star Meal for Maui, but we recommend the Grilled Veggie Platter. It's made with three vegetables of any kind, but carrots will be easiest to snag from the Goofy Stall in Peaceful Meadow.
Once you have those or any three meals of 3-Stars or more, head back to the Moana realm and give them to Maui. He'll then ask you to place his grotto in the village, and doing so will finally unlock Maui as a character in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Of course, you'll have to fork over another 5000 Coins to Scrooge McDuck.
