How to Start The Storybook Vale in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The second major Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion is finally here, and The Storybook Vale brings in a whole new set of quests and characters. There's even a new tool on the way in the form of the Royal Net, but some will have to make sure a few other things are handled before that journey begins.

For those who already enjoyed previous expansion A Rift in Time, the departure point should be familiar. Once you start Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Storybook Vale, your village could soon add Merida from Brave or Hades from Hercules. 

How to Start Storybook Vale DLC in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Once players have purchased a copy of the new expansion, be sure to load up Disney Dreamlight Valley and check the mail. A few letters will arrive about The Storybook Vale, and one confirms exactly which quests are needed to get this new adventure started.

Veteran players have probably already wrapped these up, but new players need to make sure the following quests are finished before The Storybook Vale can begin:

• "The Dream Castle" (Merlin's Quest)
• "Friendship Is Everything" (Merlin's Quest)
• "Making Cents of Things" (Scrooge McDuck's Quest)
• "Scrooge McDuck's Grand Re-opening" (Scrooge McDuck's Quest)
• "Fishing Expedition" (Goofy's Quest)

Fortunately, these are some of the earliest quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley and even those just getting started shouldn't be stuck on them too long before The Storybook Vale is accessible. New players may want to focus on more of the main Dreamlight Valley quests before beginning The Storybook Vale or fellow expansion A Rift in Time. There's no other required benchmark, but taking time to upgrade your Royal Tools will put many in better shape as these kick off. Once those early obstacles have been cleared, it doesn't matter which expansion players try first.

When you're ready, find "The Storybook Vale awaits..." in your mailbox and claim the invitation. Head into the Dreamlight Castle at the far north of the valley, and look to the left for the entrance to Stardust Port, the same departure point for A Rift in Time. After players board the Hummingbird Airship, The Storybook Vale will finally begin in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
