Each new biome in Disney Dreamlight Valley tends to be tied to a new character, but few are more difficult or take longer to unlock than the Fairy Godmother. Once you've entered the Forgotten Lands, her forever recognizable pumpkin home won't actually be accessible at first.
There are a litany of quests throughout Disney Dreamlight Valley you must finish first and characters that must be unlocked before the Fairy Godmother will appear. We'll break down everything you need here so you can become friends with the Fairy Godmother in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Unlock Fairy Godmother in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Unlocking each new biome in Disney Dreamlight Valley continues to unravel the larger story about The Forgotten and what happened to the valley itself. This continues to give reclaim areas, but it also means quests for characters like the Fairy Godmother move forward and reveal key details about the larger story of Disney Dreamlight Valley.
For the purposes of avoiding spoilers for players trying to find a specific answer without knowing how this entire quest goes down, we'll try to stick to the specific quests and tasks you'll have to complete in this guide. If you're trying to unlock Jack Skellington, who was just added in a recent update, you will have to finish all of these Fairy Godmother quests before those pesky Matryoshka Dolls even appear.
Before you can even meet and unlock this bibbidi bobbidi bicon, you will have to unlock Olaf by completing The Great Blizzard in the Frosted Heights. After that, you can go speak to the Fairy Godmother and get things rolling.
Miracles Take Time (Purified Night Shards)
The first main quest for Fairy Godmother is "Miracles Take Time," and it's once again time to gather some Purified Night Shards. If you don't have any leftover from other quests like Breaking Bones in the Sunlit Plateau, you'll need to mostly be digging.
Look for sparkling spots to dig up across the valley, clear out Night Thorns, and if you're short on a few Dream Shards you can always feed any of the area critters their favorite food. Once the Purified Night Shards have been crafted, be sure you're ready as the next series of quests will take quite some time.
Forgotten Memories: Friendship, Trust, Nurturing
Again, as mentioned above, this will just ben an overview of your next few different Forgotten Memories quests to avoid spoilers. These shouldn't give you too much trouble, just make sure to follow the conversations you're having and let the story take hold here.
Forgotten Memories: Friendship has you creating the Hideous Bouquet and Nasty Bouillabaise. Search around for a few ingredients that are by a barrell, near Goofy's house, near the pond, and just generally scattered. These are only for this quest and won't be something you keep or need later on, so don't worry about trying to find extras.
Next up is the Forgotten Memories: Trust quest, and you'll be talking to Mother Gothel. Her Jewel-Encrusted Mirror should be located in the pool by the waterfall. Next, you'll move to Forgotten Memories: Nurturing and talk to Scar. We recommend you water the first seed in a location to confirm you've got it placed properly. Once watered, you should see the quest log counters tick upwards.
After these, you'll have a series of conversations with multiple characters and some cutscenes to keep the story moving. Once you've finished all of these quests and return from the Dreamscape, things can wrap up.
The Fairy Godmother will now be your friend and a part of your village. You can interact with her like any other character for a game of Scramblecoin or whatever else you have in mind. As mentioned above, Jack Skellington's Matryoshka Dolls will begin to appear in the valley once this is completed.
