How To Find & Unlock Ariel In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley has received widespread acclaim following its launch on 6th September 2022. In addition to the game's unique avatar customization features, there is a range of Disney and Pixar playable characters for players to unlock.

Disney's The Little Mermaid, otherwise known by her name Ariel, is no exception. However, unlocking her in the game can be challenging, requiring that players first complete The Mysterious Wreck quest. This guide details how to find and unlock Ariel in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley - How To Unlock Ariel

You can only find and unlock Ariel in Disney Dreamlight Valley after completing the quest "The Mysterious Wreck." Note that you will first need to unlock the Dazzle Beach region and then head to Skull Rock Island to start this quest.

Once there, you will find a Mysterious Paddle lying near the shore of the beach. Interacting with the paddle will start the quest needed to find Ariel in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Once you have started The Mysterious Wreck quest, you will receive a notification instructing you to speak to Goofy about the Wrecked Raft, called the Glade of Trust. After you’ve given the Mysterious Paddle to Goofy, you will receive a list of materials to repair the raft, including:

• 30x Hardwood 

• 7x Rope

• 25x Clay

• 10x Iron Ingot

As you might have guessed, you will be tasked with gathering the necessary materials. Once this task is complete, make your way back to Skull Rock Island and repair the raft.

Afterward, you will receive an achievement award, marking the completion of The Mysterious Wreck quest. Next, use the newly restored raft to travel to the next Island; this will initiate The Lonely Island quest.

Here, you will interact with The Little Mermaid (or Ariel) in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In particular, you will be tasked to return to Dreamlight Valley to create Ariel’s Sea Castle. You can place Ariel's Sea Castle in any location with a water source.

After you have done this, you can welcome Ariel to the Valley and take a selfie with her. Then, to raise your Friendship levels with Ariel, you must visit her Sea Castle and converse with her.

Unfortunately, because Ariel is water-bound, she can’t do tasks with you to raise her Friendship levels. Instead, you will have to gift her an item. You can learn more about how to increase Friendship levels in our previous guide.
