- When Do Merchant Quests Reset?
Dark and Darker's original quest system was relatively simple, but more recent updates have added a whole new chapter system. The in-game merchants are all the same, but there's a slightly different way to XP the quests themselves. Mechanically though, you're still collecting items for tasks and earning new rewards. For everything you need to know about this new quest system, including what quests are available from merchants, as well as the rewards you'll earn for completing these tasks, then read on.

When Do New Quests Release?
Rather than all quests being available at the start of a season, new quests for merchants are released every week on Friday. These quests are normally chained, meaning that some quests might not unlock until players have completed parts of other Merchant quests.

When Do Merchant Quests Reset?
Merchant quests will typically reset at the start of each season, which normally happens following every Dark and Darker wipe. Previously, the quests were the same from one season to the next, but it's possible that in the future quests will change more dramatically. The game is still largely in early access to change and tweaks to the game are pretty frequent.
Equally, we imagine that quests from special event travelers and merchants (such as Jack O Lantern and Nicholas) will be removed entirely when they're rotated in and out of the game.
