How Long Are Dark and Darker Servers Down?
Dark and Darker has received five hotfixes since it entered early access in early August. These are usually announced with around 30 minutes notice via Ironmace's Twitter and the Dark and Darker Discord.
The average downtime during maintenance is two hours. It's very rare that downtime lasts any longer than that. In cases where the developers need more time than anticipated to work on the patch, they make a habit of notifying players of that through their social media. The good news is you won't be left in the dark about it (ba-dum-tsk).
When is Dark and Darker Back Online?
Refer to the pattern of how long maintenance usually takes to give you an approximation of when you can get back online. For example, the arrival of Hotfix #5 was announced on Twitter and Discord around 7:30pm (BST) on 18th August. Servers went down shortly after at 8pm but the game was back online by 10pm that night.
Beyond that, all you can do is be patient and keep a close eye on Ironmace's social channels for any further updates. Normally these announcements are made on the official Discord channel before anywhere else, so we would start there.
