Mantis Blades are without a doubt the most famous weapon in Cyberpunk 2077.
They were shown in the very first Cyberpunk 2077 teaser trailer back in 2013 and since then their iconic look became synonymous with Cyberpunk 2077.
Both because of their awesome design and because they are quite powerful weapons, many players would like to have them as early as possible.

In order to get them, you would need at least level 20 Street Cred and they are also not really cheap to buy, so you will need money as well.
But this is not the only way to get them, and in fact, there's an alternative method that will get you Mantis Blades quite early in the game and completely free!
How to get Mantis Blades early and for free
- First, you will need to go to the City Center District and find Corpo Plaza.
- From there, open the map and you will see a marked location for a side job, which you can see on the map below.
(Picture: CD Projekt RED) - Before going to the side job area, make sure to save your game.
- When you enter through the gate, you will notice the chest on your right side and in it the legendary weapon, Mantis Blades.
- If the chest does not contain Mantis Blades, load your save and try again, because they will not always appear, and that's why you need to save before checking the chest.
- When you get Mantis Blades from the chest, you can choose to fight Norio Akuhara, a mini-boss on that location, and he too will drop a legendary weapon - Katana.
And there you have it, you now have iconic Mantis Blades very early in the game and for free.

All you now need to do is to go to the local Ripperdoc and install these powerful cybernetic weapons. They can deal a lot of od damage and their stats scale with the level of your character, so they will be useful both early in the game and later as your character progress.
