The group stage of BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 finished up in style, with an exciting match between Team Vitality and Team Liquid. This was a Winners Match in Group B since previously crushed Astralis 2-0 with a humiliating 13-0 thrown into the mix, and Team Liquid shocked Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports fans with a 2-1 over Team Spirit.

It was, however, closer than a 2-0 would suggest, with one map going into overtime, and the other requiring Vitality to pull off a huge 8-round comeback.
On the first map, Anubis (Liquid's pick), Canadian IGL Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken led Liquid to a solid 7-5 lead in the first half on the T side. As teams switched sides, Vitality scored seven rounds on the T side to Liquid's five, which forced an overtime situation. In overtime, Team Vitality woke up with renewed vigor to win four rounds in a row.
Check out The Chosen One, aka Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut's three kills with his trusty AWP on the B site defense, shutting down Liquid's push to secure a 16-12 victory on Anubis below.
The second map, Nuke (Vitality's pick), got off to a fantastic start for Team Liquid. In fact, on the CT side of Nuke, Team Liquid managed a huge 9-3 lead, and many fans, including myself, thought the third map (Mirage) was inevitable.
Liquid looked to seal the deal when they won the Pistol Round, making the score 10-3 in their favor. However, Vitality denied Liquid their conversion and mounted an insane comeback, spearheaded by some fantastic defensive tactics on the CT side from Dan "apEX" Madesclaire, and individual heroics. My favorite was Vitality's Entry Fragger, Shahar "flameZ" Shushan, who pulled off an ace in the 20th round.
Vitality finished off Liquid, making the comeback from trailing 10-3 to win Nuke 13-11 and the series 2-0.
Vitality will now face the winner of G2 Esports and Team Spirit in the semifinal of BLAST Fall Final 2024, while Team Liquid will fight FaZe Clan in the quarterfinals, with the winner moving on to face NAVI.
