Despite a strong lineup (on paper), Saudi Arabian organization Team Falcons' Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) squad has had a VERY poor run, with only a 33.3% win rate in the past three months, and dropping all the way down to rank 26th on HLTV's World Rankings.
We already knew that roster changes were being planned, as their coach (5-time Major Championship winner) Danny "zonic" Sørensen said, "Changes are needed" in a post-match interview at the BLAST Fall Final 2024. For their shot at qualifying for the Perfect World Shanghai Major, Team Falcons got the GOAT of CS and AWPer supreme, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev, on loan.

Team Falcons had a disappointing run at the Shanghai Major European RMR A event and failed to qualify. Shortly after their Major Championship hopes got crushed, the organization announced that s1mple's loan would not be extended and that they were moving another three players to the bench.

Team Falcons officially benched Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer, Pavle "Maden" Bošković, and the legendary Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen. It appears as if the organization is rebuilding its roster against Danish legend Emil "Magisk" Reif.
Missing the Shanghai Major has been an incredibly disappointing and heartbreaking setback for us. We are now dedicating the time and effort needed to rebuild our roster for 2025.
Some solid rumors are circling that G2's Nikola "NiKo" Kovač will be one piece of the Team Falcons rebuild for 2025, and we'll likely hear something official after the Perfect World Shanghai Major.
