The second-ever Counter-Strike 2 (CS) Major Championship, Perfect World Shanghai Major, runs from 30 November to 15 December 2024, and we can't be more excited! It is, of course, taking place in China, and I think organizer Perfect World has outdone itself, announcing LAN venues with crowds for all three stages of the competition.
To put things into perspective, the only other time a Major Championship has had a live crowd in all three stages was IEM Rio 2022, and StarLadder Berlin 2019 only had a small audience in the first two stages of the competition.
For the Opening, Elimination, and Playoffs stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major, we'll see huge crowds in two fantastic venues!

The Opening and Elimination stages will take place at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center, from 30 November to 8 December 2024. After a relatively short break, the Shanghai Major Playoffs will take place at the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center from 12 to 15 December 2024. This venue can host well over 10,000 spectators!
The teams competing at the Perfect World Shanghai Major are unknown when writing, as the main RMR events must still occur from 11 to 24 November 2024. These are also offline LAN events for each region, but no spectator options will be available. Learn more about the CS2 teams competing via our results articles below.

We can't wait to see which teams make it to the second-ever CS2 Major Championship. It's one of the first times that all three stages of the competition will be played in front of a live crowd, especially in such a huge capacity.
