The Conan Exiles: Chapter 3 update introduced Golem Shaping, a new in-game mechanic allowing players to craft and build their Golems. This new patch also saw multiple new additions, including Blood Crystals, the Guardian Assembly Station, the Golem Workbench, and more, each of which assists you in making a Golem.
However, the Golem Workbench in Conan Exiles appears to be bugged, particularly when players try to place Thralls at the Crafting Station. As a result, many players have been looking for answers on how to fix the Golem Workbench Thrall bug. So, if you’re wondering the same question, you're in luck! Continue reading this guide as we explain how to solve the Golem Workbench Thrall bug in the game.
Conan Exiles: Golem Workbench Thrall Bug Solution
One of the most debated questions from multiple forums, including the official Funcom forum, is how to get or place a Thrall at the Golem Workbench in Conan Exiles. Many players have struggled to assign a Thrall to this Crafting Station, with many assuming that a sorcerer would best be suited for this purpose; however, there is a workaround solution.
Players assumed that another requirement is needed to place a Thrall at the Golem Workbench, but this may not be the case. According to Conan Exiles content creator wak4863, Funcom has yet to confirm whether it is a bug error preventing Thralls from being placed at the Golem Workbench, which as of writing, is being managed as a UI error.
The content creator revealed that Funcom may have intended not to have any of the available Thralls placed at the Golem Workbench. It’s not confirmed whether it will have a specialized Thrall to use at the Golem Workbench; however, for the time being, you’ll have to craft the parts before assembling them yourself.
Another possibility is related to a recent Quality of Life (QoL) improvement the developer implemented, forcing you to manually place Thralls at their designated stations. It was previously known that this was done automatically and by default; however, with the recent improvements in the game, you’ll have to place them at the station.
It may explain why crafting isn’t functioning as expected. Still, for now, there are more unexpected problems relating to Thralls and the Golem Shaping mechanic in Conan Exiles: Age of Sorcery. With the additional error of Thralls not automatically being placed at their stations, we hope that Funcom will fix these bugs in future hotfix updates.
