Warzone Season 5 is here, and after a few days of delay, weapon balance changes have arrived as well.
Unlike the previous few seasons, this time around, the start of the season balance changes are not as broad as they usually are, focusing only on a few weapons.
When it comes to the assault rifle class, only one weapon has undergone a balance update, and it's the one we're talking about in this article.
The AS VAL has received a minor (10%) Maximum Damage nerf, which has been decreased from 30 to 27.
Raven states that the AS VAL "retained one of the fastest, easily achieved TTKs in the game" and that's why they needed to nerf it.
Despite this, the weapon is still extremely potent, and it is especially powerful with the right attachments.
The best AS VAL loadout for Warzone Season 5
Following the balance update, we've tested the weapon intensively, and we think that these attachments will give you the best class setup for the AS VAL in Warzone Season 5.
- Barrel: VLK 200mm Osa
It significantly improves your Damage Range and Bullet Velocity, making it even deadlier at a longer range. Your ADS speed will be slightly reduced, but that's not really important with this build. - Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
The Commando Foregrip is a key component in providing you with stability, with both Recoil Stabilisation and aiming stability. - Ammo: 30 Round Mags
A really small magazine capacity is a well-known downside of this rifle, and that's for a good reason. Here we pick the 30 Round Mag, as that's simply the biggest option available. - Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape
It will bring you back some of that lost ADS speed, and it will notably improve Sprint to Fire speed, giving you much-needed flexibility. - Perk: Sleight of Hand
With only 30 rounds in your mags, Sleight of Hand will come in handy to improve our reload speed, which can often mean the difference between death and life.
And there you have it, the best AS VAL loadout for the start of Warzone Season 5. Shout out to Warzone YouTuber Chuck for sharing this build, you can check his video below.
It can be used both as your primary and secondary weapon, though, due to the lower mag capacity, it is not recommended to have it as the primary weapon, unless you are absolutely confident in your skills, as every bullet counts.
