Call of Duty Warzone: Verdansk Release Date and What We Know So Far

The wait is over! Activision has officially confirmed that the very first Call of Duty: Warzone map, Verdansk, is making its return with a set release date. While we now know when to expect it, there are still key details to cover regarding the map and its content. Let’s break it all down, starting with Verdansk’s release date and everything we know so far about its return to Call of Duty: Warzone.

Verdansk Warzone Map Release Date Revealed

As revealed by Activision in a recently released trailer, Verdansk will officially return to Call of Duty: Warzone on April 3, 2025, at the start of Season 3. This season was slightly delayed from its initial March release schedule. The announcement also coincided with Warzone’s 10th anniversary on March 10, further solidifying the release date.

Verdansk Map Details, Leaks, and What We Know So Far

At the time of writing, there’s no official confirmation on the changes this new version of Verdansk will bring to Warzone. However, reputable leakers like @GhostOfHope have provided some insight into what players can expect.

According to leaks, Verdansk will return in a nearly identical state to its original 2020 version, with a few key adjustments:

- Will launch with Season 3 of BO6
- It is pretty much the OG March 2020 version
- Train Station interior will be closed
- Interior of Stadium will be open BUT roof will be closed
- The Train returns

• Train Station POI – The interior will be closed.
• Stadium POI – The interior will be accessible, but the roof will be closed.
• Train System – The train will make a return.
• Fast Travel Subway – There will be no subway system, meaning players will have to navigate the map on foot or by vehicle.

Resurgence Mode & Other Leaks

Additionally, dataminer Reality has suggested that Resurgence mode will also be making a return alongside Verdansk. The exact implementation remains uncertain, but there are two possibilities:

1. A smaller section of Verdansk will be used for Resurgence.
2. A "Massive Resurgence" mode with 150 players covering the entire map.

While nothing is confirmed yet, these leaks suggest an exciting shake-up for the Warzone experience.

Returning Weapons & Operators

The Grau and HDR weapons are potentially returning to Call of Duty: Warzone with Verdansk, per sources.

Alongside Verdansk’s return, fan-favorite weapons and operators could also be making a comeback. According to GhostOfHope and CharlieIntel, we might see classic MW weapons like:

• Grau 5.56
• HDR Sniper Rifle
• CR-56 AMAX
• Kilo 5.56

One of the biggest discoveries from dataminers is the return of the controversial Roze Operator skin. This skin gained notoriety in Warzone due to its all-black design, which made it difficult to spot in dark areas. If it returns, expect it to add another layer of chaos to the Verdansk experience.

While the release date for Verdansk is confirmed, all other details remain speculative. Until Activision officially reveals more, we recommend taking these leaks with a grain of salt.
