Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific has welcomed its second season and we have witnessed some changes in the game, including buffs and nerfs to some of the weapons in Caldera which kind of allow us to rediscover the game a little bit while we rebuild the best possible loadouts.
One of the things we notice every time we visit the tropical island of Caldera is that, because of its size, being solely a close-combat expert was not going to be enough to be a constant winner in Warzone.
Fortunately, we have the perfect weapon to sharpen those long-range shooting skills of you and become an all-around shooter with the best loadout available for the Kar98k sniper rifle.
Best Kar98k (Vanguard) loadout for Caldera
- Muzzle: L Brake
- Barrel: Krausnick 560mm Rapid
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: Short Stock
- Underbarrel: GF-59 Flashlight
- Magazine: Default
- Ammunition: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
- Perk: Fleet
- Perk 2: Fully Loaded
Because of its natural accuracy, this loadout is built to focus on ADS speed and firepower to decrease the TTK to its bare minimum, although there is one attachment that helps us a little bit with accuracy which is the L Brake muzzle.
The Krausnick 560mm Rapid + Short Stock + Fabric Grip will give us great mobility and aiming speed, which will be key as on the Season 2 update we saw Activision make changes specifically on this trait of the Kar98k.
Just like we did on the mid-season update, we picked the GF-59 Flashlight which is an odd selection considering we often want to hide at all cost, but the perk of being able to ID opponents in greater distances is too good to pass on.
We will stick with Default magazine although the Lengthened ammo will increase our firepower.
The Fleet perk will double down with the Amped perk (more on that later) while the Fully Loaded will allow us to have filled bullet cases from the get-go.
Best perks and equipment for Kar98K (Vanguard) in Warzone Pacific
- Perk 1: Double Time
- Perk 2: Overkill
- Perk 3: Amped
- Primary 2: STG44 AR or MP-40 SMG
- Lethal: Thermite
- Tactical: Stim
Considering we will be carrying a heavier weapon, we will stick with the Double Time perk instead of the E.O.D. The Overkill perk will allow us to carry a second primary weapon to be prepared for every scenario while the Amped will make us switch faster between those weapons just like the Fleet perk did.
As for the second primary weapon, we have two options for you, you can choose the STG 44 assault rifle is one of the most efficient mid-range weapons or you can grab the MP-40 which combines damage and fire rate if you feel more comfortable in close-combat situations. The Thermite will offer us a sticky, explosive attack while the Stim shot could get us out on top in troubling scenarios as it boosts both our health and movement speed for a few seconds.
