Assassin's Creed Mirage is reportedly five times shorter than Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
As reported by PCGamesN, a French interview with Ubisoft lead producer Fabian Salomon conducted by YouTuber Julien Chieze revealed the size of the upcoming title. Salomon stated:
"Given that we do a lot of playtesting internally at Ubisoft, it's part of our process, we really want to get as close as possible to the players, so we'll say that the latest playtimes we've received average at around 20-23 hours. That can go up to 25-30 hours for the completionists, and we'll say that those who will be rushing the game will be around 20 hours."
According to How Long To Beat, a standard playthrough of Assassin's Creed Odyssey will take around 45 hours, and a standard playthrough of Assassin's Creed Valhalla will take about 60 hours to complete the main story, without factoring in any DLC. Given this, this means that even the standard playthrough of Assassin's Creed Mirage will be roughly a third of the size of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, likely pleasing a lot of people who complained about the size of the Assassin's Creed games and perceived bloat in the amount of content being put into these games.
This news comes after the reveal of the Assassin's Creed Mirage map size, which is more comparable to older Assassin's Creed games and much smaller than recent titles.
Assassin's Creed Mirage will launch October 12 on Amazon Luna, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S
