Assassin’s Creed and diving into haystacks have always gone hand-in-hand, but you’ll need to progress a fair chunk to unlock the Leap of Faith in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Set in England during the ninth century, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the follow-up to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey which swaps swords and sandals for angry, raiding Vikings.
So how can you avoid face-planting snowy Norway or the autumnal leaves of England? Here’s where the Leap of Faith move is lurking in Valhalla.

While the marketing for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has emphasised the England setting, for the first five hours you’ll be roaming around Norway in an excessively-long introduction.
It’s not until you reach the English settlement Ravensthorpe where you’ll be able to gain access to the Leap of Faith move - so you might find getting down from tall structures to be a potentially fatal affair in the early hours.
Once you arrive at the English settlement, you’ll be able to upgrade buildings and areas to unlock new moves, skills and possibilities - although they’ll require you to field materials through raids.

One of the best ones to upgrade early is the Hidden Ones Bureau, run by Hytham and Basim who are the assassins from the mysterious Hidden Ones organisation.
After assembling the Hidden Ones Bureau, this will start the ‘To Serve the Light…’ mission - where you’ll speak with Hytham before following him. Follow his movements and he’ll teach you the Leap of Faith move, which you’ll now be able to use across the entire game.
What are you waiting for? Face-plant those haystacks!
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC.
