Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff is a major icon in the Call of Duty community but he has been smashing it in Apex Legends over the past two weeks. This came after the onslaught of hackers and cheaters in Warzone, which compelled him to switch to Apex Legends for the time being. Despite only playing for a few weeks, NICKMERCS has already found himself destroying lobbies and is now on his way to becoming one of the top 750 Apex Legends players in the world.
NICKMERCS hits Master rank in Apex Legends
NICKMERCS hit the Apex Master rank during his Twitch stream on the 18th of August. He subsequently released a video on YouTube where he gave his full reaction to the achievement.
NICKMERCS said that after playing Apex Legends in a Diamond climb solo for about 2 weeks, he linked up with his friends Cloakzy and TimTheTatman to try and make the run to Apex Predator rank.
Achieving the Apex Predator rank is quite a significant achievement as it means that players are within the top 750 players in the world, in their platform.
"We didn't want to hit up any Apex pros for a carry. We didn't wanna do none of that. We wanted to do it on our own. Stay in our own lane, grind out [and] earn it. And that's exactly what we been doing man," NICKMERCS said.
While his trios squad did not hit Predator just yet, they did hit Masters. This is still a notable achievement and places NICKMERCS within the top 0.4% of players globally. NICKMERCS also mentioned that he was "literally 600 points" away from hitting Apex Predator.
During his grind to Masters, NICKMERCS had 60,000 viewers watching live on Twitch and expressed his love for everyone that has been supporting his run with the game.
He explained that some people didn't like the fact that his squad landed in the same place and did the same things despite finding success in doing so.
NICKMERCS further mentioned that he randomly found a match with iiTzTimmy, who recently made Apex Predator after grinding non-stop for 54-hours from Bronze solo. "I got into a random match with Timmy [iiTzTimmy], talk to the boy... I carried that man," he joked.
NICKMERCS says that he is having a great time playing Apex Legends and we can definitely tell. While the grind to Predator is a tough and gruelling run, we're certain that he will do it.
