For those that don't know, Respawn Entertainment has just recently announced the shocking news that Apex Legends Mobile will be sunset (discontinued) on the 1st May 2023. With this announcement, many who were fans of the exclusive characters on the mobile version of the game such as Fade want to know if they can expect to see this character appear in the PC or console version of the game.
If you're wondering the same, this article is for you, as we'll be discussing the possibility of Fade coming to Apex Legends on Console or PC platforms. We'll also take a look at some of the reasons to expect the popular Legend to cross over as well as the reasons why he possibly won't.
Is Fade Coming to Apex Legends Console or PC
Let's cut straight to the chase, the likely answer to whether Fade will be coming to Apex Legends on console or PC is no. The long answer to this question is most likely no, and mainly due to two reasons, what the fans want and what the developers at Respawn are more likely to focus on in the seasons to come.
First of all, the fans on console and PC aren't too attached to Fade as a character most players have said that they want the skin variety and quality, as well as the frequency of updates that the mobile version of the game gets, and not necessarily the unique characters it offers such as Fade. This is further reflected in the fact that not many dedicated Apex Legends players are clamoring for Fade to come to the other ports of the game and are satisfied with the roster they currently have.
Next, we have the biggest reason that Fade will likely not come to console or PC versions of Apex Legends, the developer's intentions, and limitations. Because Fade was specifically designed for the mobile game, it would take way too many resources for the team to rework the character to fit into the roster on console and PC.
This is further compounded by the fact that the developers are constantly working on new updates and content additions for new seasons of the game and adding a character that players aren't even asking for would be less than a viable investment. However, while it's unlikely that we'll be getting Fade any time soon, the developers have given us some hope for the possibility of Fade coming in the far future.
When asked about the possibility of Fade coming to PC and console in the past, their response was “it is a possibility in the future but he is developed for mobile. If he ends up on PC then that’s fantastic.” This eludes to the idea that they may keep the idea of bringing Fade into the fold on the back burner until a time when they feel it's possible.
The fact Apex Legends mobile is shutting down could also give the team at Respawn more incentive to add Fade into the game. Otherwise, the character will be effectively lost forever once the mobile game goes offline.
There are "no plans" to bring Mobile Exclusive Legends to the PC / Console version of Apex.

For now, however, we recommend not holding your breath as Fade isn't a huge focus point for the developers right now, although he may be in the future. So keep that in mind if you're hoping to main Fade on Apex Legends after the mobile game is discontinued.
