Are Shrines Back In Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom?
Because of the excitement for the game, Nintendo decided to do a gameplay preview for Tears of the Kingdom. In this preview, we got to see the game in action as well as what the world in the game will look like. During the preview, players were able to spot something on the minimap in the bottom right corner of the screen.
In the minimap, there is a blue icon that is displayed on it. In Breath of the Wild, that icon usually means that there is a Shrine at that location. With that being said, it looks like Shrines are going to appear in Tears of the Kingdom in some way. Whether or not they will play out the same has yet to be seen.
What Will Shrines Do In Tears Of The Kingdom?
At the time of this writing, it is unknown what Shrines will do in Tears of the Kingdom. In fact, it is not even fully confirmed that Shrines are in Tears of the Kingdom at all. Although the Shrine icon is back in Tears of the Kingdom, that icon could mean something else completely in Tears of the Kingdom.
But if Shrines do come back in Tears of the Kingdom, it is possible that they would have the same functionality as Breath of the Wild. This would mean that they would be mostly used to increase Link's stamina or overall HP in the game. Or they can give you more powers as well. Only time will tell how Shrines will function in Tears of the Kingdom.
