The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has a lot of secrets within the game. There are a lot of different powers that you can obtain within the game and on top of that, there are a lot of different items that are in it as well. Tears of the Kingdom is an open-world game and because of that, it is very possible to miss a lot of the content hidden within it.
Much like Breath of the Wild, players are able to freely explore Tears of the Kingdom nearly from the start. You will have a lot of freedom so it is possible to miss some items in the game. One item you will want to get as soon as possible is the camera. Here, we will teach you how to get the camera in Tears of the Kingdom.

How To Get The Camera In Tears Of The Kingdom
The first thing that you need to do in Tears of the Kingdom is complete the tutorial area. You will want to get back on the ground in the Hyrule overworld as soon as possible to get the camera. Once you are there, you will follow the main quest and head to Lookout Landing. From there, meet Purah and get the Paraglider.
Once you have the paraglider, follow a character named Josha so you can find Robbie. Activate the sidequest "Camera Work In The Depths" by talking to Josha. You will be then guided to a fissure that is in the ground. Go down the fissure and you will be in the dark underground depths. Follow the light and campfires and you will eventually find Robbie. Robbie will then unlock the camera functionality on your Purah Pad.
Is The Camera Important In Tears Of The Kingdom?
The camera is an extremely important item for you to get in Tears of the Kingdom. Although you could probably beat the game without it if you wanted to, you will still want to get the camera for a couple of reasons. Number one is that there are several sidequests that you will be locked out of without the camera.
Number 2 is that you need the camera to get access to the Hyrule Compendium. Much like Breath of the Wild, you can take pictures of enemies, fauna, plants, weapons, and more to log their data in the Compendium. So if you want maximum functionality in Tears of the Kingdom, get that camera early.
