The cancellation of WWE 2K21 came as no surprise to fans with dwindling sales and a plethora of glitches and technical difficulties that made the game unplayable at times.
Now, with a year's worth of rest, the developers are looking to make amends, showcasing the next entry in the franchise, WWE WK22, during the biggest show of the year, WrestleMania.

In the small 30 second teaser we see legendary high-flying luchador Rey Mysterio being showcased with in-game graphics, which look much improved from previous versions of WWE 2K titles.
The teaser includes a complete look at Mysterio's model as well as quick glances of gameplay, with the luchador performing his signature 619 finishing move on Cesaro.
Rey Mysterio being featured prominently suggest he'll be the cover of the upcoming 2K22 or that he'll be highlighted in a collector's edition of the game, as it's often the case with WWE games.
As always, stay tuned as more information regarding WWE 2K22 becomes available, including roster, release date, platforms, and more.
