Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a mechanically complex action RPG with a steep learning curve. Like the Nioh Games, Wo Long: also has a loot-based system. Within this system, there's a mechanic called Embedment, which makes build crafting more flexible.
To make your character more powerful in Wo Long, it's important to understand the ins and outs of Embedment.
As such, here's our guide explaining how Embedment works in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
Everything you need to know about Embedment in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
Embedment is a process that allows you to extract a gear's special effect and insert it into a different piece of gear. For example, if a weapon has a special effect called "Spirit Attack Damage +3.6%," you can use the Embedment tab to extract it from that weapon. Once you have extracted the special effect, you can insert it on a different weapon or armor.
Embedment costs Jewel Fragments, which you can obtain by salvaging your gear. However, not every weapon and armor will get you this valuable resource, so make sure you check the list of items listed under the Salvageable Material tab before salvaging an item.
Some salvageable gear may also drop Jewelry Essence. These are unique special effects worthy of salvaging and embedding.
Jewel Fragments aren't necessarily hard to farm, especially since you get hordes of weapons and armor pieces in every mission. That said, having the right build can make a huge difference in Wo Long, so make sure you're salvaging all your redundant gear instead of selling them to the Blacksmith for a constant supply of Jewel Fragments.
And that's it! That's everything you need to know about Embedment in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
