Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty offers five default playstyles, with each focusing on different elemental damage types. These are called Phases, and you can choose between Water Phase, Earth Phase, Metal Phase, Wood Phase, and Fire Phase.

Every phase has its strengths and weaknesses, and you will have to switch your elemental damage type often to overcome different obstacles. Best Water Phase spells in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

There are five Water Phase spells that we recommend unlocking over everything else. These are: 

Unseeable Form

Description: For a certain period of time, turns your body invisible and cannot be detected by enemies. 

As mentioned previously, the Water Phase is more suited for Stealth gameplay, and while you can slowly sneak on enemies normally, being invisible will give you more liberty in certain situations. You can also synergize this with the 'Fatal Strike Damage' special effect to quickly take out any enemy low-level enemy in the game as well deal huge chunks of ice damage to bosses. 

Ice Weapon

Description: For a certain period of time, enchant your current weapon with Ice. 

Like the Flame weapon in Fire Phase, the Ice Weapon in the Ice Phase will be your primary spell to apply Ice damage to enemies. You can synergize this with other special weapon and armor effects like increased 'Element-Imbued Weapon Spirit Damage,' and 'Melee Attack Damage.'

Phantom Icicle

Description: Releases curse bolts that create mysterious fog on contact with enemies or terrain. Enemies that touch the fog will have reduced targeting ability for a period of time. 

Phantom Icicle doesn't add any damaging effects, but it prevents the enemies from damaging you for some time. It's a great spell to use in frantic situations, and while the enemies are under its effect, you can use other AOE attacks or simply unleash your Water Phase Divine Beast 'Baize.' to deal some devastating damage. 

Frozen Spear Trap

Description: Sets an icy trap by your feet. Enemies that step on the trap will be impaled by sharp icicles and take damage.

Frozen Spear Trap is a great crowd control Ice attack. You can combine this with Phantom Icicle to turn the entire battlefield into an icicle kingdom. 

Malignant Icefall

Description: Summon a large icicle to fall on the locked on target or on a point at a certain distance to the front. 

Malignant Icefall is a high-damage Water Phase spell that is great for applying the Chill effect on bosses. Like other spells in this list, you can synergize this with special effects like 'Increased Element-Imbued Weapon Spirit Damage' and '+ Ice Attack Power' to deal extra damage.
