League of Legends: Wild Rift has launched in much of the world now, and millions are now immersing themselves in the mobile version of Riot's MOBA behemoth.
Players are now noticing the differences between the two games, learning more Wild Rift's unique metagame, the best team compositions and above all, the available champions.
Continuing with our series of champion guides, we will review one of the most played, hated and well-known champions in the entire game, being used masterfully by players like Faker, and who has become a threat in any game: Zed, the Master of Shadows.
Zed: His active and passive skills

His passive ability, Contempt for the Weak, will cause Zed's basic attacks to deal bonus magic damage to low health targets. This can only be applied once every so often on the same target.
Let's move on to his active skills:
- Razor Shuriken: Launches a shuriken along with his shadows at a point, dealing damage to enemies hit by them.
- Living Shadow: Allows to summon a shadow towards a target point. If it hits an enemy, it will grant energy recovery when using an ability against it. Reactivating this ability will cause you to switch places with your shadow.
- Shadow Slash: Zed and his shadows will spin with their blades, dealing damage to nearby enemies.
- Ultimate - Death Mark: When activated, it will transport you towards an enemy champion, marking him and making you unreachable. After three seconds, the mark will activate, replicating the damage done by Zed while holding the mark.
Recommended Runes and Spells for Zed
Zed is a champion known for his extreme sieges, in addition to his great flexibility he has thanks to his shadows, and the constant harassment with his abilities by not resorting to mana to activate them, while enjoying good energy regeneration. These are his recommended runes:
- Electrocute: Triggers on successful skill combos and trades, dealing bonus damage to affected enemies.
- Brutal: Grants bonus attack damage and armour penetration.
- Spirit Walker: Grants additional health and slow resistance.
- Hunter - Genius: Grants additional cooldown reduction for each unique takedown.

Being played aggressively in the middle lane, your options for spells are as follows:
- Flash: Allows you to have more offensive options to enter combat, in addition to serving as an escape tool.
- Ignite: Use it as a tool to finish off enemies in case they want to escape with low health.
The best items for Zed

Zed's items should be focused on his offensive stats, in addition to increasing cooldown reduction and his explosive damage, which will make him a champion capable of surviving enemy exchanges and even being able to win them without the need for the assistance of allies.
- Youmuu's Ghostblade: Grants bonus attack damage, cooldown reduction, and armour penetration. Its passive allows you to deal additional magic damage with each attack.
- Gluttonous Greaves: Grants omivampirism, giving you a better chance of surviving in fights. We recommend using it with Mercury charm for crowd control.
- Duskblade of Draktharr: Grants bonus attack damage, cooldown reduction, and armour penetration. Also, if you attack after hiding from the enemy, your attacks will deal more damage and slow them down.
- Death’s Dance: Converts a percentage of the damage taken into delayed damage, giving you more room to be in the fight along with his physical omnivampirism.
To complement his composition, we recommend using Angel Guardian, Maw of Malmortius for magic resistance, and Mortal Reminder for greater lethality.

Introduced at the end of 2012, Zed is an Assassin class champion who stands out for his great mobility and stealthy and unpredictable attacks. His arsenal of attacks helps to bring down opponents with efficiency and aggression.
His passive gives him a huge advantage early in the game, allowing him to clear waves of minions faster than opponents, which translates into a better item composition as long as you can master the last-hits to the goals in your lane.
Within Zed's skill kit, the one that stands out the most is his Living Shadow, which in combination with the Shuriken, allow you to have better control of the centre lane thanks to his cleaning potential, in addition to allowing him to hit opponents from range and without risking taking damage.

It’s important to learn to place your Living Shadow and predict the enemy's movements since good positioning is essential to get the better of opponents in one-on-one fights.
Shadow Slash may be the tool you will use the least in your 1v1 confrontations, however in team fights it will be useful to unbalance the enemy due to its slowdown, and together with its Ultimate, it allows you to make the most of these types of encounters.
It can be said that Zed can be a bit difficult to use at first, given the aim that must be had with his abilities, and the control when placing the Shadow, using it and when changing places with it. However, once you learn to master it, it can become one of the best selections for any match.
