Soul Fighter Wild Rift: New Game Mode, Champion, Skins Revealed

League of Legends: Wild Rift might be mobile's answer to classic LoL, but when it comes to events, Wild Rift gets its own wave of content. With the upcoming Soul Fighter event, players will be treated to a brand new game mode, skins, experiences and more. Soul Fighter is taking place across all four of the Runeterra games: League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, and Wild Rift. 

According to Riot Games, the event is the studios' tribute to the fighting game genre, taking inspiration from unique character moments from fighting games and anime tournament arcs. This will translate into new game modes, skins, gameplay features and more across all of the Runeterra titles. 

For Wild Rift fans, however, the excitment builds around what content will be making its way into the made-for-mobile MOBA. Below, we'll go over everything that's set to arrive with the Soul Fighter event.

Soul Fighter Wild Rift: Tag Duel Game Mode Explained

As part of the Soul Fighter event, Wild Rift will be getting a brand new game mode — Tag Duel. In this mode, players will be facing off against each other in one-on-one combat. Each player selects three champions which can be swapped between when off cooldown. Various combos can be pulled off, without the need for teammates. The first player to reach four kills wins.

One of the biggest arrivals in Soul Fighter is that of new Wild Rift champion Nilah the Joy Unbound. Along with Nilah comes six new Soul Fighter skins:

• Soul Fighter Nilah
• Soul Fighter Draven
• Soul Fighter Draven (Special Edition)
• Soul Fighter Yasuo
• Soul Fighter Irelia
• Soul Fighter Xin Zhao

Players will also be able to purchase the Soul Fighter Event Pass in order to collect even more rewards and cosmetics.

Soul Fighter Wild Rift: Narrative Experience, Arcade Mode Revealed

Exclusive to Wild Rift is a brand new in-client narrative experience. Players will learn the original story set within the Soul Fighter world, following Draven and Yasuo as they battle in the Tournament of Souls. Players will progress through a visual novel, which features minigame combat that puts both speed and accuracy to the test. 

By progressing through the event, players will earn token to be spent on various items in the event shop, as well as unlocking Arcade Mode. Here, players can play through minigames to earn an exclusive emote and more.
