A few days have passed since the release of Patch 2.2 on Wild Rift, bringing with it the start of the Americas’ Open Beta and a lot of new content, between Galio's debut within the game’s roster, as well as the first Wild Pass loaded with many rewards for everyone.

Following the release of all the content announced prior to the release of the Open Beta, Riot Games has revealed the patch notes for Patch 2.2a, which will bring many balance changes to champions, items, and an iconic champion will make his triumphant arrival after a long wait.

Wild Rift Patch 2.2a: Rammus the Armordillo debuts

After being announced since mid-January, Rammus the Armordillo will make his arrival in Wild Rift along with a new joint champion update in both the mobile game and the LoL PC version.

This includes a visual remake of all of his abilities and skins, as well as a new Ultimate ability that will allow him to become a cannonball. Rammus will be available in Wild Rift starting 22nd April.

After a few weeks of debuting within the Path to Ascension event, Diana will receive a major readjustment ranking-up her power by giving her more Base HP and a new Attack Speed ​​bonus on her passive, while also lowering her Crescent Strike and Pale Cascade cooldowns, and increasing the power of her Moonfall.

Along with her, Leona will have a lower cooldown on her Shield of Daybreak and Zenith Blade, while Pantheon will have an increase in his Base Attack Damage stats, and on the impact of his Comet Spear.

Galio, being the most recent introduction to the game, will receive several nerfs to all the statistics of both his abilities (except for his Ultimate), as well as his Base points, while several junglers such as Dr. Mundo, Shyvana and Vi will also have changes that will impact their performance for the mid and late game.

Finally, Corki will suffer a nerf by increasing the arrival time of his Package, the damage of Alistar's Headbutt will be decreased, the damage of the Rocket Grab and the duration of the self-slow of Blitzcrank's Overdrive will be improved, and Tristana will receive more damage, and a lower cooldown on her Explosive Charge, both per level.

This time, few items will have major changes, with the price of the Infinity Orb being increased to 3,150 to balance its cost-benefit factor, while the Glorious Enchant received a bug fix that showed a higher cost compared to other Boots enchants.

Lastly, the Sunfire Aegis' damage scaling has been lowered to add some more first-item choice for tank champions.

As part of the content of this patch, the first exclusive Wild Rift skin theme will be available within the in-game store, being a new skinline with a stellar and mystical approach known as Stargazer. Camille, Soraka and Twisted Fate will be the first champions that will be part of this theme.

In addition to these, two new skins will be added as part of Rammus' debut.

New accessories as part of the Stargazer collection will also be added to the game, including new icons, recalls, and a new exclusive bauble and emote.

Both Stargazer skins and accessories will be released over the course of the patch.

Wild Rift Patch 2.2a: Gameplay updates

To celebrate the launch of the Stargazers skinline, an in-game event will also be available, where you can complete missions to unlock Blue Motes and accessories throughout the event, running from the 15th April until the end of the month.

The turrets will receive some balance changes to counter the chances of split-pushing and snowballing by giving them increased armor and magic resistance depending on how many champions are near them.

And from this patch some high-end devices will receive 120 FPS mode support, being able to take full advantage of the capabilities of this type of mobile devices, with the first announced being the OnePlus 9 & OnePlus 9 Pro, Google Pixel 5, ASUS ROG Phone. 2, and the Razer Phone 2.
