The arrival of League of Legends: Wild Rift to more regions around the world is just around the corner, and with this in mind, the time has come to focus on its content, and above all, its champions.
So this time we bring you one of our first guides to better use them, starting with a champion introduced in 2018, and who has had great influence in the international competition for her offensive skills: Kai'Sa, the Daughter of the Void.
Kai’Sa: Her active and passive skills

With Kai'Sa's main passive ability, Caustic Wounds, every time she connects basic attacks or abilities on enemies, they will accumulate Plasma which deals additional magic damage, and when they accumulate five of these, they will explode doing damage according to their remaining life.
Let's move on to her active skills:
- Icathian Rain: Unleash a series of missiles that will hit the closest targets.
- Void Seeker: Fires a long-range missile that damages, reveals, and marks enemies with her passive.
- Supercharge: Increases movement speed for a moment, followed by an increase in attack speed.
- Ultimate - Killer Instinct: Allows you to quickly go to any enemy marked with Plasma, as well as granting a temporary shield.
In addition to these, Kai’Sa has another passive ability called Living Skin, but we will talk about this later.
Recommended Runes and Spells for Kai’Sa
Kai’Sa is well known for being a hybrid between marksman and assassin, which is why her runes tend to be more inclined to a super offensive strategy, so we can recommend the following runes:
- Conqueror: Increases damage as the fight progresses. With this rune, Kai'Sa can accumulate the effect of her passive quickly due to her attack speed and the area affected by her abilities.
- Gathering Storm: Increases overall damage over time.
- Spirit Walker: Grants bonus health and increased slow resistance.
- Sweet Tooth: One of the best runes for marksman, thanks to the additional gold it grants when consuming some
- Honeyfruit, in addition to increasing its healing effects by 25%.

As for the summoner spells, these don’t have many detours since they are usually the essentials for any marksman even in the PC version:
- Flash: Necessary for Kai’Sa due to the limited mobility she may have when escaping from a fight.
- Heal: Heals yourself and your closest ally, as well as granting movement speed for a brief instant.
The best items for Kai’Sa
Now, as we mentioned before, Kai’Sa has a second passive ability called Living Skin, which is closely linked to the items you use on her.

Based on the composition you choose for Kai’Sa, it will allow her abilities to evolve and do more damage to your enemies. With this in mind, we can recommend the following items:
- Manamune: Kai’Sa's quintessential item, which gives her a great deal of attack damage, in addition to benefiting from her passive that allows her to deal additional damage based on the amount of mana remaining when it transforms into the Muramana.
- Gluttonous Greaves: Grants omnivampirism, something that falls quite well given Kai’Sa's hybrid nature. It’s recommended to use them with Quicksilver Enchant or Stasis Enchant.
- Blade of the Ruined King: A balanced item that gives her attack damage, attack speed, slow, and physical vampirism, stats that fully help Kai'Sa. Additionally, it allows her to deal damage based on the enemy's remaining life.
- Runnan's Hurricane: Spreads on-hit effects to nearby enemies with his passive, Wind's Fury. With this, it allows her to attack multiple nearby enemies at the same time, nullifying her weakness against them.
- Guardian Angel: Perfect for the mid and late game, it gives her a chance to survive if you make risky plays against good level enemies with your Ultimate.
Some additional options to complete your composition may be Infinity Edge, Rabadon's Deathcap, Mortal Reminder, Nashor's Tooth, and Hextech Gunblade.
Tips for Kai’Sa’s play style

Much of her offensive ability relies on the use of Killer Instinct since it allows her to attack an isolated enemy, ambush against the carriers together with an ally, or reposition herself in a key moment, allowing her to be very versatile in her confrontations.
However, you have to learn to control and manage its use well, without rushing to be decisive in making the right calls in the game.
Her low mobility can be frustrating, so it’s crucial to control the farming of minions, in order to scale her composition of items faster and evolve her skills, which will give her more options when approaching a fight.

You can use Supercharge to mobilize and restore cooldowns, then use Killer Instinct to dodge crowd control and instantly hit your target, making sure not to get too far or behind your team, or you could be an easy target.
You can also use Void Seeker on a weakened target to stalk and finish it off, allowing your team to advance further and focus on other targets.
This way, you will be able to use the Daughter of the Void in an excellent way, always concentrating on being the offensive pillar of your team, thanks to her Plasma abilities and her unbalancing finishes.
