Developed by Ubisoft San Francisco, XDefiant is the latest title in the Tom Clancy’s franchise. Described as a "fast-paced arena shooter that combines intense gunplay with personalized loadouts and specialized factions" the game will release on all major platforms but no official release date has been provided at the time of writing. We are telling you this because the Closed Test of XDefiant is now live for PC gamers in the US and Canada. However, just like any other test of an online game, players are running into some issues. Here's what we know so far about the XDefiant ECHO message error, and what players can possibly do to fix it.
How to fix XDefiant ECHO error message
First off, Ubisoft is already working on a fix for the XDefiant ECHO message error experienced by some players in the Closed Test.
There are currently connection issues in the Closed Test for XDefiant, and players are getting the ECHO-2 error message when trying to connect and play. This issue may also impact map load times.
In the early hours of the morning on 6th August, Ubisoft noted that they are still working on a fix for the XDefiant ECHO message error, while the issue has been resolved for some players.
Unfortunately, there is no quick fix that players can implement themselves. All you can really do right now is wait for the developers to fix the issue.
It is, however, important to note that since this error relates to connection issues, you should check the game's official Twitter account for updates on the status of the servers.
So there you have it, an explanation of the XDefiant ECHO error message. Unfortunately, all that people with Closed Test access can do is wait until the issue is completely resolved. We will endeavour to update this article if a workaround does become available.
