Vampire: The Masquerade - Reckoning Of New York "Gnaws" Onto Consoles, PC On Sept. 10th

Polish developer Draw Distance and publisher Dear Villagers announced the release date for the upcoming visual novel game, which is part of the massively popular Vampire: The Masquerade IP. According to a press release from Draw Distance, the final entry in The New York visual novel trilogy, Reckoning of New York, is officially set to launch for consoles and PCs this September.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Reckoning of New York is based on the tabletop RPG of the same name, which spawned multiple gaming releases forming the World of Darkness series, including Redemption, Swansong, Bloodhunt, and two Bloodlines titles. The visual novel trilogy started with the release of Coteries of New York in December 2019, which proceeded with Shadows of New York, launched in September 2020.

French publisher Dear Villagers dropped the official reveal trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade – Reckoning of New York in June 2024; however, there was no release date to confirm. The game's developer confirmed the release date for the visual novel game heading to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on 10th September 2024, with compatibility for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Together with the release date announcement is the official game synopsis, which reads, "Vampire: The Masquerade - Reckoning of New York invites you to immerse yourself in the third installment of this gripping visual novel series, set against the backdrop of the Big Apple teeming with supernatural intrigue. Dive into the streets of New York City in 2024, where the delicate balance of power hangs by a thread. Navigate the treacherous waters of vampiric politics as you contend with the ever-shifting landscape between the Camarilla and Anarchs."

Vampire: The Masquerade - Reckoning of New York is available to be added to players' Wishlist for the abovementioned platforms before its release. Additionally, Coteries of New York and Shadows of New York are currently discounted, and so too is The New York bundle includes these games via Steam for a limited time.
