it's a story about No Man's Sky. It was one of the most hyped games during 2015-16, everybody was talking about it and Hello Games, the creators of the game. It seemed like the next big thing.
If someone asks you what's the biggest redemption story in a video game industry, what would you say? For many,And then, when it finally came, it was one of the biggest disappointments in the history of video games. An enormous amount of promised features were missing, while those that were in-game at the launch were either buggy or simplified heavily. Internet backlash was so intense that the entire team became completely quiet, and after less than a month - they disappeared. Everyone from the studio entered radio silence mode for months. People thought they simply abandoned the project, but that was far from true.
For the last three years, they released five substantial updates for the game (Foundation, Path Finder, The Atlas Rises, Next, and Beyond), and each of them added new content: new locations, major new features, quality of life improvements, and hundreds of bug fixes. No Man's Sky became universally praised by everyone, especially people who owned the game from the beginning and stayed through all those changes.
After four years, guys and girls from Hello Games are finally feeling comfortable enough to announce their new game. The Last Campfire is the story of a lost ember trapped in a puzzling place, searching for meaning and a way home. From what we've seen in the trailer, the game looks charmingly beautiful, with fairytale-like visuals and dreamy atmosphere. The game will have a strong focus on narrative, with a focus on a journey and exploration of a beautiful world filled with mysterious locations and remarkable inhabitants that we'll meet during our adventures.
The Last Campfire is coming this summer to PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
