Hi-Fi Rush has been officially announced at the Xbox and Bethesda Developer Showcase 2023.
Hi-Fi Rush is described as a rhythm-action game in which your moves and attacks make a living soundboard, meaning every combo you do has a specific sound. If you use the sound to your advantage, you'll be able to make massive combos.
The main character, Chai, has a robot arm that ties him into the beat of this world, with attacks automatically syncing to the beat as you start a combo, before you have to learn how to hit the beat to create massively damaging combos. You've even got a robot cat that helps you throughout the game to hit the necessary beats, plus an entire squad that can help you out throughout the game.
The game itself was very recently leaked, but this is the first official confirmation of the game. Tango Gameworks has previously worked on The Evil Within, The Evil Within 2 and Ghostwire Tokyo. This is extremely outside of their usual remit, being much more of a stylish and colorful game, with seemingly no horror in sight.
The game is available on Game Pass right now too, so you can play to your hearts content.
