After debuting last year, 1047 Games' free-to-play multiplayer game Splitgate received massive positive reception. The fast-paced shooter also saw the arrival of the Splitgate Pro Series, which now returns with more competitive action for fans to discuss.

Splitgate Pro Series 2022 Winter Season: What you need to know
The 2022 Splitgate Pro Series will kick-off between the 5-6th February with a mouthwatering weekend of doubleheaders to start the winter season.
The games will be streamed live on the title's official Twitch channel.
The Splitgate Pro Series will comprise three competitions, divided according to the results of the first Splitgate esports tournaments: the regular season of the Pro Series, the promotion phase of the Challengers Series, and the season's final events.
Splitgate Pro Series: Format
The regular season of the professional series will last from 1 to 2 months. Seven days will be dedicated to the Round Robin stage to determine the participants and seeding for the quarterly tournaments at the end of the season and the relegation phase.
The new season will be developed with the help of Logitech Esports Services, a branch of Logitech focused on creating custom tournaments for customers.
Ian Proulx, the co-founder of 1047 Games, commented on the partnership, saying, "Our first season of professional competition was a huge success thanks to the talented team at Logitech."

Splitgate Pro Series: Teams
The eight teams that will compete for a prize pool of $100,000 are as follows:

Splitgate Challenger Series 2022
In turn, the newly introduced Splitgate Challengers Series will be a collection of events that walk the official path to becoming a professional Splitgate player.
The Challengers Series winter season includes the open promotion phase available at www.PlayBeyond.com and is open to all Splitgate competitors not currently participating in the Pro Series regular season.
The top players in the Challengers Series will have the opportunity to compete in a playoff where they will compete for a $5,000 prize pool, as well as the chance to participate in the promotion stage for a chance at a spot in the Pro team and join the next season of the Pro Series.
